Charles M. Russell
Charles M Russell was an American oil painting artist 1864-1926. Also having been named as C. M. Russell. Russell created more than 2,000 paintings of cowboys, Indians, and landscapes set in the Western United States. Russell's mural entitled Lewis and Clark Meeting the Flathead Indians hangs in the state capitol building in Helena, Montana. Capturing the spirit and the culture of the West during the late 1800s and early 1900s, his artwork is part entertainment and part history lesson.
